The Witch's Run 5K
The Witch's Run 5K is a family friendly running event in downtown Hartsville, South Carolina on October 31, 2026. The race begins in front of the YMCA of The Upper Pee Dee at 111 E. Carolina Avenue. Wheelchairs, strollers, and dogs are welcome, and participants may listen to music while running. There are no age restrictions and no parking restrictions noted.
Registration opens March 7, 2026 and closes October 30, 2026. Early registration is $30 and the day of race entry is $35. T-shirts are guaranteed for all racers who register by September 30. Shirt sizes are offered in Youth Small, Youth Medium, Youth Large and Adult S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL.
Packet pick-up is available Friday, October 30 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at SPC Credit Union, 204 N. Fifth Street, Hartsville, and on race day starting at 7:00 AM. A costume contest takes place after the race.
Proceeds support the SPC Cares Foundation, established in 2024 to address hunger, housing, employment, and education. The foundation includes a Community Impact Fund, an SPC Scholarship Fund, a Down Payment Assistance Fund, and a Member Hardship Fund.
Awards include Best Costume Male and Female, Top Overall Male and Female, and top male and female in each age group. Age groups: 9 & Under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
