The WILDness
The WILDness is a trail running event at Panorama Mountain Resort in the Purcell Mountains, scheduled for June 26–28, 2026. The event offers a one- or two-day format with multiple course lengths.
Distances offered include:
- 30–38 km - Saturday stage, about 2700 m elevation gain.
- 10–15 km - Sunday stage, about 850 m elevation gain.
- 5 km - Fun Run.
2026 registration options shown are: Full Race (2-day) $199, Single Day Saturday $139, Single Day Sunday $89, 5 km Fun Run $39. A lodging offer at the base of the trails includes up to 35% off accommodations for the event weekend; resort lodging ranges from hotel rooms to condos and limited camping.
Aid stations are provided: two on the long course (at about 8 km and 24.5 km) and one on the short course (around 7.5 km at the highest point). The event is cup-free; participants must bring their own reusable cup. On-course food and drinks include water, electrolyte drink, soda and a selection of salty and sugary snacks; only limited gels or waffles are available.
Event rules and safety measures are specified: no littering, bibs and timing chips must be visible, earbuds allowed in one ear only, stay on designated trails, and mandatory gear for the Saturday 36 km will be checked before start (examples: pack or hip belt with minimum 1 L water carry, hat, gloves, jacket, emergency blanket or bivy, reusable cup). Cutoff times at aid stations are enforced, and participants must notify race officials if abandoning the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
