Crazy Soles Nipika Trail Run
The trail running event takes place at Nipika Mountain Resort on singletrack trails within the Cross River Canyon Recreation Site in the Kootenay region. The race day is Saturday, May 30, 2026.

The 25 km course combines a 10 km loop and a 15 km loop set along the Kootenay and Cross Rivers. The 15 km loop follows the Kootenay Krusher trail on the south network, and the 10 km loop runs on the north network. The 5 km and 2.5 km loops include some singletrack and remain close to the meadow area.
Categories include male and female age groups for the 25 km distance. The 15 km, 10 km and 5 km distances use single or recreational categories as listed. Day of registration is available for the 2.5 km kids' run.
Timing is done by hand timing rather than chips, so accuracy can be reduced when large groups finish together. Awards are presented for all age classifications in the 25 km and for top male and female in the 15 km and 10 km distances. A portion of funds raised supports the Radium Rotary Mental Health Fund. Cabin accommodations and primitive camping are available at Nipika, and additional lodging options exist in Radium Hot Springs about a 35 minute drive away.
