Event Overview
The Whole Enchilada is a trail running race held at Trail Hub in Uxbridge, Ontario. Located within Canada’s Trail Capital, the venue provides access to a network of over 240 km of interconnected trails. The race course traverses the diverse landscapes of Durham Forest, Walker Woods, and Glen Major, featuring a mix of single track and double track terrain.
The event offers a variety of distances for different participation levels:
- 50 km (The Whole Enchilada): An end-to-end trail race with significant elevation gains and technical descents.
- 25 km (The Half Enchilada): A challenging route through the rolling hills of Durham Forest.
- 8 km (The Mini Enchilada): A loop starting from the Trail Hub vista covering local trail systems.
- 4 km (The Hike Enchilada): A non-competitive hiking option where 50% of fees support local trail maintenance.
- 4 km (Kids' Enchilada): A timed race for children involving official race bibs.
- 1 km (The Kids Salsa): A fun run dedicated to supporting Jumpstart Charities.
The race is officially sanctioned by Athletics Ontario and follows environmentally conscious practices. It is a cup-free event, meaning participants must bring their own reusable containers. For safety reasons, dogs, headphones, strollers, and nordic walking poles are prohibited on the course. On-site facilities include parking and washrooms at the start and finish area.
