Event Overview
The Waverly Waddle is an annual community event held at the Waverly Community House in Pennsylvania. This event traditionally takes place on the Saturday of Mother's Day weekend and serves as a seasonal kick-off for the local area. Participants can choose between two primary distances that navigate through the scenic surrounding landscape of Waverly regardless of weather conditions.
The course options include:
- 5K Run: A 3.1-mile timed route for runners.
- 2-mile Walk: A shorter course designated specifically for walkers.
Both the run and the walk share the same starting and finishing location at the Waverly Community House back lawn. The 5K run is an official electronic chip-timed race. Organizers provide awards for the top finishers across various age and sex divisions.
Registration and Participation
Advance registration is available online, with options for individual adults, children, and families. Registration is also accepted on the morning of the event at the venue. While children under the age of six may participate for free, a registration fee is required for other participants. Those who register by a specific spring deadline are eligible to receive an official event t-shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
