About The Water Run 2026
The Water Run is a community sports event held in Medicine Hat, Alberta, in partnership with Nehemiah Construction Ministries. The event aims to raise funds to provide clean water for the Turkana people in northwestern Kenya. Participants can take part as individuals or as members of a team.

- 3 km
- 5 km
- 10 km
In addition to the in-person races at the Veiner Centre, a virtual option is available for those who prefer to complete their own route using the Runkeeper app to track results. For the local event, timing is provided by RacePro using chip-embedded bibs. Each entry includes a Water Run shirt, a medal, and a swag bag.
The venue maintains a policy that pets should remain at home. Post-race amenities include bottled water, food, and snacks. Prizes are awarded to the top two male and female finishers in the 5 km and 10 km categories, as well as to the top pledge earners among adults and children.
