About the race
The Water Run 2026 is a fundraising running event in Medicine Hat, Alberta, held on October 10, 2026 at the Veiner Centre, 225 Woodman Ave SE. The event partners with Nehemiah Construction Ministries to raise funds to bring clean water to the Turkana people of northwestern Kenya. To date organizers have reported CA$1,078.86 raised toward a CA$50,000 goal.

Events are available for youth and adults, with equivalent virtual options for participants who cannot attend in person. Virtual participants are asked to use a running app such as Runkeeper to track and submit results. Entries may be individual or as part of a team.
Pricing is shown in tiers; examples listed by organizers include early bird, regular, and last minute fees. Sample amounts on the event page are Adult CA$40 to CA$60 and Youth CA$20 to CA$40 depending on the registration period. Race day registration is shown with a higher fee.
In-person entries include a Water Run shirt, medal, swag bag, a race bib with RacePro chip timing, and post-race food and bottled water.
