The Water Run 2026
The Water Run takes place on October 10, 2026 in Medicine Hat, Alberta at the Veiner Centre, 225 Woodman Ave SE. The event is run in partnership with Nehemiah Construction Ministries to raise funds for clean water projects for the Turkana people of Kenya. The fundraising goal is listed as CA$50,000 with CA$0.00 raised so far.
The event offers both in-person and virtual options with multiple distance categories:
- 3 km (youth and adult)
- 5 km (youth and adult)
- 10 km (youth and adult)
Entry includes a Water Run shirt, medal, swag bag and a race bib with RacePro chip timing for in-person participants. Virtual participants are asked to use the RunKeeper app to track and submit results. Post-race refreshments and snacks are provided. Prizes are announced for the top two male and female finishers in the 5 km and 10 km, and top pledge earners among adults and kids receive awards.
