Rekindle's Walk for Unity
Rekindle, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit co-founded and co-led by Black and Jewish leaders, is holding its inaugural Walk for Unity at Rockefeller Lagoon on Martin Luther King Dr in Cleveland, OH 44106. The event features a community one mile walk and a 5K race.

Pre-registration opens March 4, 2026 and runs through September 30, 2026. Pre-registration fees are $30 for the 5K and $25 for the 1 Mile. Late registration is available through race day with fees of $35 for the 5K and $30 for the 1 Mile.
Participants receive a T-shirt. The 5K is chip timed. Post race refreshments are provided. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers.
Parking closest to the park is available in the Case Western surface lot off Mount Sinai Dr between Ansel and East 105th St; pay to park using posted QR codes at $1 per hour. The start and finish area is a short walk down the hill from that lot.
Rekindle describes its work as strengthening trust across difference through open dialogue and face to face connection.
