Walk for Unity, Cleveland OH
The Walk for Unity is an inaugural community event organized by Rekindle, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit co-founded and co-led by Black and Jewish leaders. The event includes a one mile walk and a chip timed 5K race and is based at Rockefeller Lagoon on Martin Luther King Dr in Cleveland, OH 44106.
Rekindle describes its work as strengthening trust across difference through open dialogue and face-to-face connection, and reports program activity in more than 20 cities. Fellows have reported measurable growth in readiness to address hate and build bridges in real life.
Event details include the following distances:

- 1 Mile walk
Registration opens March 4, 2026. Fees are listed in two tiers: pre-registration and late registration. Published amounts are: pre-registration 5K $30 and 1 Mile $25; late registration 5K $35 and 1 Mile $30. Participants receive a T-shirt and post event refreshments. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers.
Parking closest to the park is available in the Case Western surface lot off Mt. Sinai Dr between Ansel and East 105th St, with posted pay to park signs indicating $1 per hour.
