The Wales Marathon
The Wales Marathon is a closed-road marathon held in Pembrokeshire on 28 June 2026. The race covers 26.2 miles on a single-lap route through the Pembrokeshire countryside and along the coast.
The course travels to Pembroke Castle for a mid-route turnaround and then returns along coastal roads to finish in Tenby, where runners cross a red carpet amid roadside spectators. The route includes notable changes in elevation, including a steep climb into Penally and a short up-and-down section into Manorbier, and offers sea views and open-field panoramas.
Entry begins from £60 and a payment plan option is available. Course mapping and a downloadable GPX file are listed as part of the event information. The event is presented as part of the Long Course Weekend series and takes place on closed public roads with marshals and crowd support noted along the route.
