The Village Zombie Run
The 5th Annual Village Zombie Run is a family friendly, Halloween themed running event in Davenport, Iowa, presented by Lagomarcino’s. It features a timed, point-to-point 5K course that begins at Duck Creek Park near the tennis courts and finishes in the Village of East Davenport. The route runs along Belle Avenue, a themed stretch of Elm Street, and down Jersey Ridge.
The event also includes shorter races for children:
- 5K
- 1/4 mile kids run
- 1/2 mile kids run
Packet pick-up is offered at two local locations: Evanovich, Blessing & Associates at 5001 Utica Ridge Rd and Kelso’s Corner at 1117 Mound St. A late packet pick-up is available at Kelso’s Corner on the event day. A limited-edition long-sleeve race shirt will be available with a shirt deadline in mid October.
Additional event features include shuttle buses from the Village of East Davenport to the Duck Creek Park start (included with registration), a best costume contest with cash prizes awarded at Kelso’s Corner, timed race prizes for top finishers, and an afterparty at Kelso’s Corner with live music and drink specials. Participating Village businesses will provide trick-or-treat candy and Lagomarcino’s will host a caramel apple station for purchase.
