The Village Zombie Run
The Village Zombie Run is an annual, family oriented, zombie themed running event in Davenport, Iowa. The main event is a timed, point-to-point 5K that begins at Duck Creek Park and finishes in the Village of East Davenport, following Belle Avenue, a stretch of Elm Street, and Jersey Ridge. Shuttle buses from the Village to Duck Creek Park are included with registration.
Distances and youth options include:
- 5K point-to-point course from Duck Creek Park to the Village of East Davenport
- 1/4 mile kids run
- 1/2 mile kids run
The event includes a best costume contest with cash prizes awarded at Kelso’s Corner and prize awards for the top three finishers in the timed race. Participating Village of East Davenport shops provide trick-or-treat candy for children during the event. Lagomarcino’s hosts a caramel apple station for purchase at the kids run finish area.
Packet pick-up is organized at two locations: Evanovich, Blessing & Associates at 5001 Utica Ridge Rd, Davenport, and Kelso’s Corner at 1117 Mound St, Davenport, with a late packet pick-up at Kelso’s Corner on race day. An afterparty at Kelso’s Corner features live music and drink specials.
A portion of event proceeds is designated for the 3D breast cancer screening fund through Trinity Health Foundation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
