Event Details
The Valley Race offers three distances: a 5k, a 10k, and a Half Marathon. The event takes place on May 23, 2026, at Woodley Park in Van Nuys, California.
Course
All race routes begin by crossing grass, going under a road through a tunnel, and entering the park. The 5k route loops around a lake within the park and returns. The 10k and Half Marathon routes go to the other side of the park, pass under a bridge, and return via a different path. The courses use open park paths. For the Half Marathon, runners complete two specific loops plus the 10k route.
Event Information
Free parking is available in a lot at the venue, with additional parking on Woodley Avenue. Bib pick-up opens at 6:20 AM. An early start option for the Half Marathon may be pre-arranged, but participants using this option are not eligible for awards.
Multiple water stations are located along the routes, with a finish line aid station providing water, electrolytes, and snacks. Course turns are marked with chalk and signs. A first aid kit is available at each station, and crew members are CPR-trained.
All finishers receive a race medal. Overall first-place medals are awarded to the first male and female finisher in each distance. Gear check is available at the registration tent, though participants must provide their own bag. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
