THE URBAN ENGINE
THE URBAN ENGINE is an indoor, split timed functional fitness event organised by By-Athena at Copeland Park in Peckham, London on 7 Nov 2026. The format does not include running and runs as eight consecutive functional workouts, each with split timing.
Athletes complete the following stations in sequence: Erg Bike (3,000 m), Sled Push (100 m), Ski Erg (1,500 m), Burpee Jumps (100 m), Row (1,500 m), Walking Lunges (100 m), Assault Bike (100 calories) and Wall Balls (100 reps). Weights and movement standards vary by division. Full movement standards, weights, and judging requirements are published in the Official Urban Race Rulebook. A technical briefing will be emailed before race day and included during the athlete briefing on the day.
The event is presented with professional race timing, live music, a DJ, photography, massage and sports injury therapists, an aid station, secure bag drop, and a coffee bar. Spectator entry is free. Most athletes finish in around 45 to 75 minutes depending on pacing and division. Entry fees on the event page are shown in a range between £50 and £1,500 and multiple offer types, including spectator tickets and volunteer slots, are listed.
