Event Format

The Ultra Loop is an 8-hour running event at Heaton Park in Manchester. Participants run a continuous 5km mixed-terrain loop as many times as they wish within the time limit. There is no minimum distance requirement. Each loop is chip-timed, and all participants receive a finishing time and medal.

Course Details

The looped course uses park roads and woodland trails within Heaton Park, passing features like the Boating Lake and Heaton Hall. It has approximately 75 meters of elevation per loop. The route is not on a closed course, so other park users may be present.

Facilities

A single aid station at the start/finish line provides water, fruit, snacks, energy bars, and electrolytes. Participants are asked to bring their own bottle for refills. The event village includes bag drop, toilets, and a coffee van. Spectators can gather in this area.

Registration and Participation

Onsite registration opens at 07:00. The event starts at 09:00. Participants aged 12-15 must be registered by a parent or guardian, who must attend the event. Participants under 12 are not permitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
