About the race
The Trojan 5K is a timed 5K run held rain or shine on October 3, 2026, in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee. The event is an inaugural fundraiser with all proceeds benefiting the Soddy Daisy High School Track & Cross Country teams. The course begins at the Fire Hall next to Municipal Park at 11651 Dayton Pike, placing the start and nearby spectator areas close to the park.
Packet pickup is available at David Casteel State Farm (9217 Dayton Pike) on the Thursday and Friday before race day. Registration opens July 20, 2026 and closes October 2, 2026; the standard registration fee is $30 and increases by $5 on race day. The first 50 registrants receive a free event t-shirt; additional shirts are available for purchase with part of the proceeds supporting the teams.
Walking is welcome for all participants, including dogs and strollers. While the event is timed for runners, walkers will not be timed. Bathrooms are located in the park and there is parking nearby. Organizers note possibilities for a coffee truck on site and participation by other Soddy Daisy High School sports teams. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
