The TRIUMPH Mile
The TRIUMPH Mile is a community running event held at Astor Park in Green Bay, Wisconsin. This event serves as the kickoff for the Bellin Race Weekend and focuses on athletic inclusion. It is organized as a collaboration between participants who work together to complete the one-mile distance.
The event structure is based on two specific participant roles:
- Captains: Individuals with disabilities of any kind who are the central focus of the event.
- Angels: Able-bodied athletes who guide the Captains along the course to the finish line.
This community gathering is intended to celebrate local Captains and promote inclusive sports. The event provides a dedicated digital photo space where participants can upload new race day images or view photos from previous years, including galleries dating back to 2023. The course is located within the Astor Park area at 1100 Porlier St. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
