The Treggy 7
The Treggy 7 is a 7 mile circular road race that starts in Launceston Town Square and finishes in the grounds of Launceston Castle. Registration takes place beforehand in Launceston Town Hall and awards are presented in the Town Hall after the race. The event is organised by Launceston Road Runners and is listed among other events in the Cornish Grand Prix series.
The route drops downhill in the first mile out of town and then follows undulating rural roads. A half mile climb leads into the village of Tregadillett where the first water station is located at approximately 3.5 miles adjacent to Tregadillett Primary School. After leaving the village at around 4 miles the final 3 miles are mainly downhill. A second water station is positioned at about 5.5 miles before the finish in the Castle Grounds.
Practical facilities include toilets in the Town Hall, the Multi Storey Car Park and the Castle Grounds. Cakes and hot drinks are available in the Town Hall before and after the race. A bag drop will be provided with point details to be confirmed.
Entry details state a minimum age of 16 or older. Entries opened 12 April 2026 and close 1 September 2026. Entry fees are UKA Member £18.00 and Non Member £20.00. Entries recorded so far total 135 participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
