About the race
The Track Classic 2026 is a track-based running event held at 32 Herbert St, Cambridge Park NSW 2747, Australia on 27 September 2026. The event centres on a 5 km track time trial described as a test of aerobic capacity, with a 3 km category offered for youth and entry-level competitors.
Multiple seeded heats are used so athletes compete alongside runners of similar pace. Electronic chip timing is employed for accurate results. Prize money is available for overall male and female winners, and prize packs will be awarded to age-group podium finishers. Sponsors are listed for the event and further sponsor and prize details are scheduled to be announced before the event.
The organiser describes the venue as purpose built for fast racing and positions the 5 km time trial as useful preparation or benchmarking for runners training for longer events or other disciplines.
