The Thornthwaite Round
The Thornthwaite Round is a 15.6 km (9.7 miles) fell and trail running event organized by Keswick Athletic Club, held near Keswick in the English Lake District. Starting and finishing at St Mary’s Church in Thornthwaite, the course features 870 meters (2,850 feet) of ascent over forest tracks, grassy ridges, and a steep grassy descent. The flagged route passes through checkpoints including Lord’s Seat, Broom Fell, Brown How, Whinlatter, and Seat How.
