The TFG Cheese & Crackers Trail
The event takes place in Hartington in the Peak District on 1 November 2026. It offers two waymarked trail routes through tree-lined dales and past limestone cliffs, with downloadable GPX maps provided. Professional timing and full race results are used, and there is a secure bag drop and outdoor first aid qualified marshals on course.
A selection of up to ten local cheese samples is available at the event HQ in Hartington Village Hall. Each entrant also receives a goodie bag of cheese, crackers and port from Hartington Cheese Shop. A portion of each entry fee supports trail repair and nature recovery projects in Derbyshire and the Peak District National Park. Prizes are awarded to the male and female race winners.

- 8.4 km - 135 m elevation
- 16.4 km - 290 m elevation
The long course has a mandatory kit list that includes a waterproof jacket with taped seams and hood, waterproof trousers, suitable off-road shoes, hat and gloves, spare dry long sleeve layer, sufficient nutrition plus an emergency 500 calories, foil blanket or emergency shelter, a charged mobile phone in a waterproof case, at least 500 ml drinking water, a reusable cup or bottle, a whistle and a GPS device with the route downloaded or map and compass. Short course entrants must wear suitable off-road running shoes and are strongly advised to carry weather appropriate kit.
The race is licensed by the TRA and will be run under UK Athletics rules. Entrants must be at least 18 years old on 31 October 2026. Entries close 30 October 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
