The Sussex Beer Mile
The Sussex Beer Mile is a beer mile event organised by Sussex Trail Events at a new venue with a licensed bar. The event takes place on a grass track in Ferring near Worthing, West Sussex. Car parking, registration and the race start are all located at this venue.
The format follows traditional beer mile rules: one beer and one lap four times. The course must be a 400 metre track. Drinks must be in a 335 ml bottle or can and be at least 5% alcohol. Teams may enter with each runner completing one lap and one beer.
Entry options and fees are listed as Solo £15 and Team £25. Entries opened on 17 February 2026 and close on 22 July 2026; entries recorded so far were 26.
Organisers will provide bag storage, a referee, a fully marked route, a unique beer mile memento and a large sick bucket. A cup will be awarded to the Best Team, who will be named the Beer Kings of Sussex. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
