Sussex Beer Mile
The Sussex Beer Mile is a trail version of the beer mile held on a grass track with a licensed bar at the new 2026 venue. The event is scheduled for 25 July 2026 and uses Central Worthing for car parking, registration and the race start. It follows traditional beer mile rules: one beer and one lap repeated four times.
Race requirements specify a 400 metre track and beers in 335 ml bottles or cans with at least 5% alcohol by volume. The event includes a team option where each runner completes one lap and one beer; a cup will be awarded to the best team.
Practical details note that there are no changing facilities so participants should arrive dressed ready to run. Entry fees are listed as £15 for an individual and £25 for a team. Organisers provide bag storage, a fully marked route on grass, an official referee, a beer mile memento, and a large sick bucket. The event adheres to the official beer mile rules for consumption and lap requirements. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
