Event overview

The Spokane Marathon takes place in Spokane, Washington on October 11, 2026. The event program includes a Marathon, Marathon Team Relay, Half Marathon, 10K, Kids Fun Run, and a Virtual Run. The course follows the Spokane River, passes through pine forest sections and the Centennial Trail, and is described as Boston Marathon certified.

Logistics and services

Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race at GMC of Riverfront Park. The start area is east of North Bank Park Shelter on N Washington St. Participant parking is available on surrounding streets, Spokane Arena lots, and Riverfront Parking - Lot 1. A Race Village near the finish will provide water, electrolytes, food, snacks, portable toilets, hand washing stations, and items for purchase. Gear check is available for all runners at Race Village; runners must show their bib number when dropping off and picking up gear and should bring their own bag. Aid stations are located roughly every 2-3 miles and will offer water, sports drink, GU gels, and gummy bear chews; toilets and first aid kits will be located at aid stations and in Race Village.

Competition, relay, and awards

Relay teams may have 2, 3, or 4 runners and run the same course as the Marathon with three exchange zones. All team runners use the same chipped bib and exchange by a high-five in marked zones. Relay legs are approximately 5.7 miles, 8.7 miles, 6.4 miles, and 5.4 miles. Awards are given for 1st–3rd overall male and female in Marathon, Half, and 10K, masters winners (age 40+), relay team winners by division, and 1st–3rd in standard age groups. Marathon and relay entrants must finish within 7 hours; half marathon entrants must finish within 6 hours.
