The Santa 5K - East Meadow
The Santa 5K is hosted by the Long Island Road Runners Club on December 20, 2026, at Eisenhower Park - Parking Field 2 in East Meadow, NY. The event includes a 5K run/walk and a free kids fun run, and it will proceed rain or shine.
Registration is paid and includes processing fees; becoming a LIRRC member reduces the event entry fee and membership options include individual and family tiers. Active military members may register for free with military ID and must request the free entry through the event chat at least 24 hours before the race date. Registration fees are non-refundable and participants agree to standard event waivers and photo release terms.
The course is described as flat and fast within Eisenhower Park and the route is USATF certified. Participants who register at least three weeks before race day can request a personalized bib number. Live results are available online, by email, and by text, and free same-day finish line photos and video are offered. Event amenities include a surprise visit from Santa for children, an awards presentation, refreshments and water, and raffles including a 50-50 raffle. Awards recognize the top overall male and female and the top three male and female finishers in age groups from 12 & under up through 80+.
