Event details

The Ryde 10 mile race takes place on 1 February 2026. Online entry opens 5 October 2025 and closes 25 January 2026; a transfer deadline is 27 January 2026. Entry is limited to 600 runners and the minimum age is 17 on the race date. Early-bird fees apply until 1 December; standard and early prices are listed by the organiser. Numbers and timing chips are issued at registration on race day. No on-the-day entries will be accepted. The race holds a UK Athletics race licence and is operated under UKA rules. The official finish time limit is 2 hours 30 minutes; the cut-off may be enforced at the race director’s discretion. A tiered refund policy applies: refunds up to 90% three months before, 50% up to two weeks before, and 0% less than two weeks before the event.

Course and logistics

The race HQ is The Ryde Castle, Ryde, PO33 1JA, with pedestrian access only to the rear entrance for registration. Secure bag storage is available. Porta-loos will be provided in the castle carpark; runners may also use toilets within the HQ and nearby public facilities. There are no changing or shower facilities at the HQ; showers are available at a nearby pool for a charge. Recommended parking is Quay Road Car Park (PO33 2HB); other pay-and-display spaces are listed near the canoe lake and Appley car park. Ferry services run hourly to Ryde from the mainland; the ferry operator offers a concessionary rate over the race weekend.

The 10 mile course is a single lap, covering Ryde, Puckpool, Seaview, St Helens, Nettlestone and back to Ryde. The start and finish are by Ryde Harbour opposite the race HQ. Marker boards are placed at each mile and water stations are at about 3 miles and 6.5 miles. In-ear and over-ear headphones are not permitted; bone-conducting headphones are allowed. Dogs are not permitted to run. Wheelchair entries may be accepted but require prior contact with the organiser. Medals are awarded to all finishers and prize categories include overall, U20 and veteran age groups for men and women, plus team prizes.
