The Ruck Challenge

The Ruck Challenge is an annual ruck event held on October 17, 2026, at American Legion Post 328, 3888 Old Hamner Rd., Norco, California. The 2026 edition is the tenth annual running of the event and features both 5K and 10K ruck courses.

The event is organized to foster teamwork and camaraderie among veterans involved in rehabilitative programs and to stage a competition among various agencies. The courses are described as tests of endurance, strength, and strategy and are intended to honor the sacrifices made by members of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and Space Force.

The Ruck Challenge welcomes veterans, community members, first responders, friends, and coworkers. Participants may walk, run, or take part without carrying a ruck. Funds raised support veterans coping with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury, substance abuse, and sexual trauma. The event is produced by Reaching New Heights Foundation Inc.
