The Riverside Church Turkey Trot
The Riverside Church Turkey Trot is a community running event held on November 7 at Randall's Island Park in New York. Proceeds support The Riverside Church Social Services and Food Pantry, which provides food, emergency assistance, and community resources.
Distances offered:
- 5K in person and virtual
- 200 yards Youth Turkey Dash
The 5K follows a scenic loop around Randall's Island with views of the waterfront and the New York skyline. The Youth Turkey Dash is a short course set near the finish area. Registration for each event includes a race bib and finisher medal. Published registration fees are $40 for the in-person 5K, $45 for the virtual 5K, and $25 for the Youth Turkey Dash.
Event amenities include bag check (one clear bag recommended), on-course and finish-area hydration with water and electrolyte drinks, bathrooms available throughout the site, and post-race refreshments such as water, snacks, and fresh fruit. Awards and recognitions include Largest Team, Top Fundraising Individual, Top Fundraising Team, and Best Turkey Costume.
Parking is available near Icahn Stadium at 10 Central Road. Mass transit options include the M35 bus to Randall's Island, subway connections at 125th Street with an M35 transfer, Citi Bike stations near the 125th Street Footbridge, and pedestrian access via the 125th Street Footbridge.
