The Riverside Church Turkey Trot 5K
The Riverside Church is hosting the Second Annual Riverside Turkey Trot 5K on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Randall's Island Park in New York City. The event raises funds and awareness for the church's Social Services programs, and all proceeds support services for individuals and families across the city.
Social Services provide food, clothing, housing assistance, job training, and emergency financial aid. The Riverside Food Pantry supplies groceries and meals with compassion and dignity. The event brings participants together in support of these ongoing community programs.
Race options include:
- In-person 5K run or walk
- Virtual 5K option
- Kids Turkey Dash: 200-yard dash for ages 2–10
Registration includes an official race bib, a finisher medal, and post-race refreshments. Participants may include runners, walkers, families, corporate teams, schools, and community groups. Awards are given for largest team, top fundraisers, and best turkey-themed costume. The sponsorship effort notes a fundraising goal of $30,000 to support The Riverside Church's programs.
