The Riverside Church Turkey Trot 5K
The Riverside Church presents its Second Annual Riverside Turkey Trot 5K, scheduled for Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Randall’s Island Park in New York City. The event is organized to raise funds and awareness for The Riverside Church’s Social Services programs that provide food, clothing, housing assistance, job training, emergency financial aid, and other resources.
The event offers in-person and virtual participation options and includes a youth running event. Registration for the event includes an official race bib, a finisher medal, and post-race refreshments. All proceeds benefit The Riverside Church’s programs, including its long-running Food Pantry.
Participants include runners, walkers, families, corporate teams, schools, and community groups. Awards are given for largest team, top fundraisers, and best turkey-themed costume.
Distances and youth event:
- 5K in-person run or walk
- 5K virtual option
- 200-yard kids dash for ages 2–10
The race is presented as part of the church’s broader effort to support neighbors in need across New York City and to strengthen community connections through fundraising and shared activity. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
