The Ridgewood Run is an annual community event held in Ridgewood, New Jersey. The event marks its 49th year in 2026 and acts as the 2026 Long Distance Running Masters Men Championship. The races take place on a fast, flat, USATF-certified course that winds through tree-lined streets, starting and finishing at Veterans Memorial Field.
Participants can choose from a variety of road racing distances and categories:
- 10K Run/Walk
- 5K Run/Walk
- Memorial Mile Run/Walk
- Kids’ Fun Run (Untimed, ages 12 and under)
The 10K, 5K, and Memorial Mile events are inclusive of push rim wheelchair athletes. The Fun Run is an untimed event where strollers are permitted, though dogs are not allowed on any of the active race courses.
Participants receive several amenities, including premium race swag and live results sent via text or email. Performance T-shirts are guaranteed to the first 2000 registrants, and those who register at least three weeks in advance receive personalized bibs. The event features a finish-line celebration at the park with a beer garden, a bounce house, and other activities for children. Free finish-line photos and videos are provided to all participants.
Founded in 1976, the race is produced by the North Jersey Masters Running Club, a nonprofit organization. Proceeds from the event support various local community groups and charitable foundations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
