Event Overview
The Rebel Run offers four race distances: 5K, 10K, 10-Miler, and Half Marathon. The event takes place in Long Beach, California at Alamitos Beach.
Course Information
The course is an out-and-back route on an open beach path. Participants will share the path with other users and are instructed to stay on the right side for pedestrians. The courses are built from a combination of laps on two specific routes: a 5K route and a 5-mile route. The 5K is one lap of the 5K route. The 10K is two laps of the 5K route. The 10-Miler is two laps of the 5-mile route. The Half Marathon consists of running the 5-mile route twice and the 5K route once. Turns are marked with chalk, signs, and flags.
Race Day Logistics
Bib pickup opens at 6:20 AM. The start times for the different distances are staggered. An early start option at 6:30 AM can be pre-arranged for the half marathon and 10-mile distances via email, though early starters are not eligible for awards. The course closes at 10:20 AM, allowing 3 hours and 20 minutes for the half marathon and 10-mile events.
On-Course Support
A water station is located along the course. The finish line aid station provides water, electrolytes, gels, and fruit snacks. Crew members are trained in CPR, and a first aid kit is available at each station.
Post-Race Information
All finishers receive a medal, with additional 1st place medals awarded to the overall male and female winner in each distance. Race results and free photos are sent via email the day after the event. Participants may check their personal gear at the registration tent and are asked to bring their own bag. The organizer hosts other themed runs in Southern California, and discounts are available for registering for multiple events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
