The RailRun 5k
The RailRun 5k is a community running and walking event held in Fenton, Michigan. The course begins and ends at the RailYard Fenton, taking participants through the neighborhoods and downtown business district of Dibbleville. The event includes timed races and a post-race gathering at an outdoor patio space.
Participants can choose from several event categories:
- 5 km Run
- 5 km Competitive Walk
- 5 km Non-Competitive Walk
- 1/2 mile Tiny Train Conductors Race
- 1/4 mile Tiny Train Conductors Race
All 5 km participants receive a technical fabric race shirt, a bib with a timing tag, and a custom finisher medal. The competitive walk division is specifically scored for participants who walk the entire distance, with overall and age group awards provided in five-year increments for both the run and the competitive walk categories.
The event features a post-race patio party at the RailYard Fenton, which includes music, yard games, and water. Food and beverages are available for purchase from on-site food cars.
