The Purple Hope 5k
The Purple Hope 5k is an annual community walk and run held in Nottingham, New Hampshire on October 4. The event raises awareness and funds for pancreatic cancer and donates proceeds to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
This edition is the third year of the event. The course is offered as a single 5K distance and is presented as a walk or run for participants of a range of ages and paces. The event includes awards for first male, first female, and most purple attire.
Organizers run a raffle table with ticket sales donated to the cause. Participants who register before September 10 receive a drawstring bag containing a T shirt, water bottle, wristbands, and small extras. All registered participants receive a medal and a certificate of completion at the end of the race.
