The Purple Hope 5K
The Purple Hope 5K is an annual community event held October 3–5, 2026 in Nottingham, New Hampshire, with the in-person race taking place on October 4. The event returns for its third year and includes both an in-person 5K walk/run and a virtual 5K option.
The event was created in memory of a person who fought pancreatic cancer for 18 months. All proceeds benefit the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN). Prizes are awarded for first male, first female, and for the most purple attire. A raffle table will be set up, and all raffle ticket sales will be donated.
Registration fees differ by format: the in-person 5K lists a fee of $30.00 while the virtual 5K lists a fee of $35.00. Participants who register before September 10 receive a drawstring bag that includes a T-shirt, water bottle, wristbands, and small extras. All registered participants receive a medal and a certificate of completion at the end of the race.
