Event details

The Prince of Wales New Year’s Day Race 2026 is organised by Cornelly Striders and takes place on 1 January 2026 at Kenfig Nature Reserve, Bridgend, Wales. The course is a multi-terrain out-and-back route heading from the west side of the lake and returning to the start. The approximate race distance is 6 km. Results will be made available for download as an Excel file after the event.

Logistics and entries

Parking is at Kenfig Nature Reserve (CF33 4PT) and is subject to the usual fees; there is no parking at the Inn or on the approach to the Inn. Designated crossing points will be in place between the race area and the Inn. Toilet facilities are available at the reserve centre. Soup will be provided to participants after the race. Prizes will be awarded for first male and female Senior and first male and female Junior, and there will be a spot prize. Entry fees are £8 (plus admin fee) for non-affiliated runners and £6 (plus admin fee) for affiliated runners. Nobody under the age of 16 may enter.
