The Pivot Academy 5K Run
The Pivot Academy presents a free co-ed community 5K run in Brooklyn designed for former athletes and people who want to move with intention. The event starts and finishes at Gentlemen's Factory, 1082 Fulton Street, Brooklyn, NY 11238. The activity is explicitly not a race: there are no finish time requirements and no prior experience is needed.
The course follows a 3.1-mile route through Crown Heights into Prospect Park and back. After the run, participants gather for a short session focused on what comes next for career, routine, and life after sport. The Pivot Academy organizes the event as part of its work helping former athletes rebuild structure, identity, and direction after sport. The event is sponsored by Gentlemen's Factory, Comf, and The Protein Shop. The run is presented as a community gathering for reconnecting around movement and shared discipline.
