The Pancake Social
The Pancake Social is a community running event at Crooked Smile Trail on February 20, 2027. Every registration benefits One Soma Global, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit; one of its projects, His Table Pakistan, works with families enslaved in Pakistan's brick kilns.
Distances and entry fees:
- Short Stack 5K 3.1 miles, $35
- Tall Stack Ultra 5K every hour, $135
The Short Stack is a single 3.1 mile 5K that finishes at the pancake breakfast. The Tall Stack asks the field to run the same 5K at the top of each hour, with a ten-hour cap; answering all ten bells equals 31.07 miles, a full 50K. The Tall Stack is tracked with Strava, and the fastest male and female of the day are recognized. Prizes are also given for every finisher.
The social after the running is a pancake breakfast served at the finish; pancakes are included with race registration, and they are available to non-runners for a fee. Kids 12 and under may run free with a registered adult; free kids entries do not include a t-shirt or bib. The event is presented in partnership with Durant Trails and Open Spaces, and registration is handled through RunSignup. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
