Nifty Fifty JTRR/NAOC : Juneau, AK
The event on August 8, 2026 features three trail races that start and finish at the end of Basin Road near the Perseverance Trail in Juneau, AK. Online registration only; it is available through the race start time on August 8. Organizers encourage pre-registration at least a week before the race because there is a price increase for registrations made after August 1 at 11 p.m. Entry fees until August 1 are $25 for the 50k and 25k, and $20 for the 10k; after that they are $35 for the 50k and 25k, and $25 for the 10k. JTRR members in good standing are eligible for a $5 discount. Registration for the 25k and 50k has been reduced this year and the 10k price increased slightly to align with other JTRR races.
All courses follow the same routes as 2025 and run mostly on trails with significant climbing; the 50k includes more than 5,000 feet of elevation gain. Course notes: the 25k uses Basin Road, Perseverance Trail, Red Mill Trail, the Glory Hole overlook, Granite Creek Trail, and the Mt. Roberts Trail. The 50k includes an out-and-back on the Flume, Glacier Avenue, and Salmon Creek Trail, then continues on the 25k course. The 10k is an out-and-back on Basin Road, Perseverance Trail, Red Mill Trail, and the Glory Hole spur. There is a 7.5 hour time limit for the 50k and no early starts. Aid at the start/finish includes water, Gatorade, and snacks; water-only stations appear on course. Runners may leave drop bags at the start/finish area.
