The Next Loop Endurance Series - Pinnacle Mountain, Roland
This event uses a loop-based format on a scenic trail loop of 3.1 miles (5K). Participants run the same marked 5K loop repeatedly from a central base area. A staffed aid station is available each hour and the course is clearly marked.
Participants begin a new loop each hour and may decide after any loop whether to run another or stop. There are no penalties or missed-cutoff failures for stopping; only completed loops are recorded. Each loop is timed individually and overall results are calculated by combining the times of all completed loops.
Official timing records loop times and rankings are based on the number of loops completed and the combined time for those loops. The environment is described as family and crew friendly, with a central start and finish area that serves as the event base.
Distances based on loops completed:
- 1 loop = 5K
- 2 loops = 10K
- 4 loops = half marathon
- 9 loops = marathon
- 10 loops = 50K
