The Next Loop Endurance Series - Lake Carl Blackwell - Stillwater
The event is a loop based trail race held at Lake Carl Blackwell in Stillwater, OK. The 50 mile format uses a 3.1 mile (5K) loop; runners complete 16 loops to reach 50 miles. Minor distance variation is expected due to terrain.
Key event format features include a continuous 50 mile run with a 12 hour hard cutoff, a mass start shared by other 50 mile competitors, and a field limit of 75 runners. Chip timing records splits for every completed 5K loop and overall finishing time determines placement.
Athlete support and logistics are organized for loop running. A single start/finish aid station is available on every lap and athletes may stage personal gear at their vehicle or in a designated staging area. A dedicated 50 mile staging area is provided separate from hourly loop athletes. Medical and safety oversight are present according to ultra distance event standards.
Pacers are permitted beginning at 4:00 PM and must check in at the designated pacer station, wear official pacer identification, and enter and exit the course at the start/finish area only. Pacers may not carry additional gear or nutrition beyond standard trail running allowances. The event is produced by EverFurther Events, an organizer of loop based endurance races.
