The NERD Run is Edmonton, Alberta’s neuroscience charity race organized by the Neuroscience and Mental Health Institute at the University of Alberta. The 10th annual event starts in Kinsmen Park and winds through the scenic Edmonton river valley, offering three distances: a 2.5 km walk, a 5 km walk/run, and a 10 km run, suitable for all levels and abilities. The race is time-chipped and raises awareness for brain and mental health research.

Early registrants (before Aug 29) receive a free exclusive NERD Run T-shirt, with early-bird pricing through July 31. Proceeds support NMHI’s neuroscience initiatives and discovery. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
