Event overview
Run For Survival is a fundraising run presented by Pancreatic Cancer Canada. The 2025 edition takes place in Edmonton on October 18, 2025, at Sir Wilfrid Laurier Park, Site #8. The event offers both in-person and virtual participation on the same date. Last year the event had over 420 participants and raised more than $77,000; the lifetime fundraising total is reported as over $1 million.
Race distances and logistics
- 5 km Purple Hat Parade Run/Walk (individual or team)
- 10 km Run for Research (individual)
- Virtual 5 km and 10 km (individual or team)
The 10K is a chipped event. The 5K will be chipped only for participants who select the run option. Team 5K registration requires a minimum of four members. Youth registrants 14 years and younger registering for the 5K distance have a flat registration fee of $20 applied during registration.
