The Navy's 39th Bay Bridge Run/Walk : event overview
The Navy's 39th Bay Bridge Run/Walk takes place on May 17, 2026 in San Diego and follows a point to point route from downtown San Diego to Coronado. The start area is One Park Blvd between the Hilton Bayfront and the Convention Center. The finish is at Tidelands Park in Coronado.
Participants can choose between two measured courses:
- 4 mile point to point course through downtown and over the Coronado Bridge.
- 10K course that follows the same route and continues through a flat section on Coronado Island.
Entry includes a commemorative event t-shirt and a finisher medal. Race numbers are mailed at no charge if registered by May 8. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the event at RoadRunner Sports, 5553 Copley Dr, San Diego, and bib pickup is also available on race morning at the start area. Free transportation options back to the start are provided from the finish via shuttle bus or ferry.
The event is hosted by Navy Region Southwest Morale, Welfare and Recreation. It raises funds for MWR Quality of Life programs that support Navy personnel in the San Diego area. Additional options include a virtual entry with mailed swag, a Sponsor a Sailor registration type, and a VIP finish line experience available for an extra fee.
