Event details
The Navy's 39th Bay Bridge Run/Walk takes place on May 17, 2026 in downtown San Diego, CA. The event offers two in-person courses:
- 4 mile
- 10K
Both courses are point-to-point and travel over the Coronado Bridge, finishing at Tidelands Park in Coronado. The 10K continues through a flat section on Coronado Island. The start location is One Park Blvd, between the Hilton Bayfront and the Convention Center. The event is hosted by Navy Region Southwest Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) and raises funds to support MWR Quality of Life programs that serve the San Diego military community across five Navy bases.
Registration and race logistics
Entry options include in-person, virtual, and a Sponsor a Sailor option that provides registration and event swag to a local Navy Region Southwest Sailor. Virtual entries include a swag bag with finisher medal and event T-shirt shipped by USPS to standardized US addresses; the virtual offer ends May 1. Entry includes a commemorative t-shirt and finisher medal; race numbers are mailed if registered by May 8 at no charge.
Packet pickup is scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 9:30 am - 2:30 pm at RoadRunner Sports, 5553 Copley Dr, San Diego. Free post-race transportation to the start is provided by shuttle bus or ferry. A VIP Finish Line Experience is available for an additional $25 and includes access to a VIP area with seating and Continental Breakfast.
