The Moore & Giles Virginia 10 Miler takes place in Lynchburg, Virginia on September 26, 2026. The race organization dates to 1973 and the first Virginia 10 Miler was held in 1974. The 2026 event is presented by the Lynchburg Road Runners Club and typically attracts more than 3,500 runners. The event program includes both in-person and virtual options and awards commemorative finisher medals to all finishers. Event T‑shirts are guaranteed for registrations received on or before September 1; later registrants are not guaranteed shirts.

Course and logistics
The 10 Miler runs north on Langhorne Road for about 3 miles, with the first 1.5 miles downhill, then climbs back to Rivermont Terrace and proceeds onto historic Rivermont Avenue toward Riverside Park. The course goes clockwise through Riverside Park along the James River and returns to finish with a 1.5 mile climb known as Farm Basket Hill. The 4.3 mile run and walk use parts of the same route and include the Langhorne Road Bridge and a paved bikeway section on the Blackwater Creek Bikeway Langhorne Bridge Trail extension, with start and finish at E.C. Glass High School.
Packet pickup is offered the days before the race at the Liberty Indoor Track Complex and on race day at E.C. Glass High School. Entries are non-refundable and non-transferable. Strollers and pets are prohibited unless required by ADA regulations. More than five live music stations are planned along the 10 Miler course. A corporate team competition is available to event sponsors, with team entries accepted through September 15, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
