The Moore & Giles Virginia 10 Miler is a historic road racing event held in Lynchburg, Virginia. The 2026 edition marks the 52nd running of the race. Since its inception in 1974, the event has utilized the same course and currently welcomes more than 3,500 annual participants from around the world. The event is organized by the Lynchburg Road Runners Club, an organization established in 1973 specifically for this race.
Participants can choose from several distances and formats:
- 10 Miles: A distance run on the original historic course.
- 4.3 Miles: A shorter 4+ mile option available for both runners and walkers.
- Virtual 10 Miler: A remote participation option for those unable to attending in person.
- Virtual 4 Mile: A remote participation option for runners and walkers.
The in-person events share the same start and finish location at 2111 Memorial Avenue. The event is open to men, women, and children of all abilities. Following the races, the event hosts the 11th Mile After Party in the afternoon. Elite athlete entry options are managed through the official race organization for those who meet specific criteria.
