The Masher 5K Fun Run
The Masher is a community 5K event taking place on October 17, 2026 at the Food + Farm Exploration Center in Plover, WI. The event supports hands-on agricultural education; 100% of proceeds fund learning and agricultural literacy programs for students across Wisconsin.
The route leaves the Center and leads to Lake Pacawa Park, where participants complete three laps around the water before returning to the Center to cross the finish line beneath the World’s Largest Potato Masher. A shortened route option is available for those who prefer a shorter distance. Strollers are welcome; wagons and pets are not allowed on the course.
Registration has tiered pricing: an early bird rate is available through September 30, 2026, and a standard rate applies from October 1 through the morning of the event. Participants who register by September 26, 2026 are guaranteed a finisher t-shirt. Packet pick-up is offered at the Food + Farm Exploration Center.
The event coincides with the National Mashed Potato Day celebration at the Center. Post-race activities include a mashed potato bar, potato sculpting contests, a bounce house, field tours, and specials in the Colorful Plate Café.
