THE LONG HARD NIGHT
THE LONG HARD NIGHT is a 12 hour overnight erg relay held at ACTV Newcastle in Lambton, NSW. Teams of three rotate through four machine stations : rower, ski erg, bike and treadmill : with one person working at all times. Each station is scheduled for 2 hours 50 minutes of work, with about 10 minutes between stations for rest and rotation.
Teams aim to accumulate the most kilometres on the machines over the 12 hour period. There is also a fundraising element: team fundraising is tracked, and proceeds from ticket sales are directed to Movember. Ticketing is structured per team and includes a voucher for each team member.
Event inclusions listed by the organiser include a post-event breakfast and recovery, a $50 LSKD voucher per team member included with ticket purchase, and free parking at the venue.
