The Leeds 5k, 10k and Half Marathon Winter Warmer Run
The event is a multi-distance running event held at Temple Newsam in Leeds. It offers three distances:
- 5 km
- 10 km
- Half marathon (four laps plus an initial 1.6 km section)
The course is hilly and follows paths and trails around the park and farm sections. The 5k is one lap, the 10k is two laps, and the half marathon comprises four laps plus the initial section. Current conditions around the venue include muddy paths and trails, so trail shoes are recommended. Off road buggies are permitted; the course is not suitable for wheelchair users.
Race services and on-course provisions include full race chip timing, marked and marshalled routes, water available in cups, finish line water and sweets, medical cover, and trophies for winners. Finishers receive medals and there are event partner benefits and voucher points for bookings made through the organiser. Bag storage is available on site but space is limited. Toilets, coffee, and snacks are available at the event hub, which is based on the grass area in front of the estate.
The event supports the charity Shelter. Shelter’s activity figures for April 2024 to March 2025 include 16,721 households helped via the emergency helpline, 13,130 households seen in local hubs in England, 7.4 million visits to online advice pages, 18,043 webchat conversations, 16,796 professional advice responses, and 13,700 households achieving a positive change in their housing situation.
