The Larix
The Larix is a trail race held at 2680 Mount Baldy Road, Bridesville, BC, Canada. The first edition in 2025 was a 10 km trail starting near the base area and finishing at the peak of Baldy Mountain. For 2026 the event expands to include a new 21 km route alongside the returning 10 km.
The courses use a variety of terrain on Baldy, including single track, double track, and open fields. The 10 km route gains and loses just over 600 m of elevation and reaches the mountain peak. The 21 km adds additional trails, includes a looped section where runners pass the same trail twice, and extends toward the Sugarlump area while following the same initial climb as the 10 km.
There are two aid stations on course, with one station passed twice by both distances. The event uses professional timing with a gun start and a finish line located at the base area in front of the main lodge. Sponsors listed for the 2026 edition include Bio Steel, Da Silva Winery, Backroads Brewing Co, Firehall Brewery, Good Protein, and Abandoned Rail Brewing Co.
