The Larix : October 3, 2026, Bridesville BC, Canada
The Larix takes place on October 3, 2026 at 2680 Mount Baldy Road, Bridesville, British Columbia. The event offers two trail distances.
- 10 km : from the base area to Baldy Mountain peak, about 600 m elevation gain and loss.
- 21 km : extended route that follows the 10 km climb and additional trails.
The inaugural 2025 edition was a 10 km trail race starting near the base area and reaching the peak. The event name comes from Larix, the Latin name for the larch tree that turns yellow in fall.
The course passes through single track, double track and open fields, and provides panoramic views along the route. The 21 km includes a looped section that is run twice before continuing toward the Sugarlump area.
There are two aid stations on course; one aid station is passed twice by runners in both distances. The event uses professional timing with a gun start and a finish line in front of the main lodge at the base. Listed sponsors include Bio Steel, Da Silva Winery, Backroads Brewing Co, Firehall Brewery, Good Protein and Abandoned Rail Brewing Co.
