Event
THE LAP - Windermere Ultra Clockwise is a fully way-marked trail ultra of 47 miles (75K) that circumnavigates Lake Windermere. The clockwise edition is scheduled for 9–10 May 2026 and is based at Low Cunsey Farm, Cunsey, Ambleside, Cumbria. The event is open to both runners and walkers and allows 24 hours to complete the circuit. The clockwise route is described as keeping the lake on the participant's right.
Course and support
The route is predominantly on tracks, trail and single track, with some steeper fell paths and short sections of quiet country road. Route marking uses over 2,000 arrows. The event provides a GPS tracker, a map and GPX files. There are fully stocked aid/feed stations, including a halfway station with a bag drop. Finishers receive a meal when they finish and a locally sourced finishers medal. The event is fully way-marked and has generous cut-offs.
Entry and practical information
For the May 2026 clockwise event the online entry status is full. The published minimum age is 16. The listed entry fee is £135. Registered entrants receive a recce GPX with their confirmation and the final event GPX with permissive routes before the race.
