The Lap - Windermere Ultra Clockwise

The Windermere Ultra Clockwise is a 47-mile fully signposted ultra trail run in the Lake District, open to both runners and walkers. The route offers stunning views and is predominantly on tracks, trails, and single track, with some steeper fell paths and short sections of quiet country road. There are 5 fully stocked feed stations, a halfway aid/feed station with a bag drop, and a finishers meal for all participants. The event provides a GPS tracker, map, and GPX, and participants have 24 hours to complete the trail. This is considered an ideal introduction to ultra distance running, with generous cut-offs and the option to purchase event insurance for unforeseen circumstances.
