The Land We Love Run
The Land We Love Run, presented by Barrington Hills and Cuba Township, takes place on June 28, 2026 at 28000 West Cuba Road in Barrington, Cuba Township, Illinois. The event offers road race distances and a community walk on certified courses.
Available distances include:
- 5K run
- 10K run
- 2 mile walk
Proceeds benefit Folds of Honor and the Cuba Township Food Pantry. The food pantry accepts donations and maintains a wish list of grocery gift cards, canned proteins, cereal, peanut butter, and household supplies. Folds of Honor provides educational scholarships to families of fallen and disabled military and first responders.
Packet pickup is scheduled on June 25 and June 26 at the Cuba Township Offices, with additional race day pickup at the event site. Registrations follow a tiered fee schedule and a shirt is guaranteed for those registered by June 15. Discounted entry pricing is available for veterans and first responders. Both the 5K and 10K are certified routes and age group medals are awarded in multiple categories from 10 and under through 60 and over.
Teams may register under a single distance, must include at least three members, and can fundraise together. Fundraising pages are available and top fundraisers and teams receive recognition at the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
