The Keri Anne DeMott Foundation World Day of Remembrance 5K and 10K
This event takes place on November 15, 2026 at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida. It is organized by a foundation that focuses on reducing traffic incidents through prevention and intervention programs, increasing traffic education, and emphasizing personal accountability for everyday decisions.
The event program includes professionally timed 5 km and 10 km races and recognizes top overall male and female finishers. The First Responders Cup is awarded to the largest registered first responder agency. The first 100 registered participants are guaranteed a commemorative race medal. In addition to the main races, there is a Kids Fun Run, a virtual race option, and volunteer opportunities.
The race is held in conjunction with the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, a day that honors those who have died or been seriously injured in road crashes, supports affected families, and recognizes the work of first responders, law enforcement, medical professionals, and safety advocates.
A Community Safety Festival follows the event and features family friendly activities, safety education, and participation from community partners. Day of activities include on site packet pickup, an opening ceremony with a remembrance tribute, awards presentations, and community safety displays.
