THE JAILBREAK Adventure Race
The Jailbreak Adventure Race is a multi-discipline, unmarked navigation event around Lake Georgetown in Georgetown, Texas on February 20, 2027. The course uses local terrain including rocky hills, twisting trails, jeep roads, and open-water crossings. Activities include paddling, trekking, and mountain biking, with some sections on beginner-friendly trails and others on more rugged terrain.
Distances offered:
- 24K The Sheriff's Sprint - 6 hour format
- 75K The Outlaw Extreme - 12 hour format
Teams of 2 to 4 competitors may enter Male, Female, or Mixed divisions. Solo entries require prior adventure racing experience and approval from race officials. A Senior Escape Crew award recognizes the fastest team with all members age 50 or older.
Navigation is unmarked; teams use a map and compass to find visible checkpoints. The 6 hour course includes optional checkpoints for bonus points. The 12 hour course extends into darkness, where headlamps and night navigation become necessary. Checkpoints must be reached by strategy and effort.
Registration opens July 13, 2026 and closes January 1, 2027 at 00:59. Published registration fees are $95 for the 24K format and $180 for the 75K format.
