Event Overview
The Izzo Run/Walk/Roll is the 7th annual event, scheduled for April 26. It is hosted on the campus of Michigan State University in East Lansing at 325 W Shaw Lane. The Izzo family organizes the event in partnership with Playmakers. Its stated mission is to connect alumni and the local community to celebrate a legacy of giving back.
Activities
The event offers several activities:
- A 5K Run/Walk.
- A 5K Roll for wheeled participants.
- A 1/2 K Walk/Roll (500 meters).
- Two children's races: a Kids' Sprint for ages 6 and under, and a Kids' 1/2 Mile for ages 12 and under.
- A Virtual 5K option.
Charitable Focus
Proceeds from the event support an endowment for The Izzo Legacy, which is intended to fund future charitable giving. Participants have the option to donate to selected local charities during registration or via a separate donation page.
Packet Pickup
Packet pickup is available at Playmakers in Okemos on the Friday and Saturday before the event. On event day, packet pickup starts at 7:30 AM inside the Breslin Center on the MSU campus. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
