The Intertidal
The Intertidal is a point to point running challenge across Jersey's low-tide terrain, between Gorey and St Aubin's. The course links six coastal landmarks exposed on the foreshore during the limited window when the normally submerged surface is revealed.
Participants run on mixed surfaces and encounter shifting conditions; navigation and calm decision-making are as important as physical fitness. The location has the third-largest tidal range in the world, so the available window for the route is determined by the tide rather than an organizer cut off.
The event takes place in a dynamic natural environment and is subject to tides, weather, sea conditions, access restrictions and operational requirements. Course details, checkpoints, timings and event arrangements may therefore change at short notice in the interests of safety, compliance and participant experience.
Entrants take part at their own risk and are responsible for ensuring they are suitably prepared, equipped and medically fit to participate. Event information is provided for general guidance and should be read alongside the official race instructions, terms and conditions and any final communications issued by the organisers. Entry types mentioned include Standard Entry and Volunteer as a race day volunteer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
