The Huckleberry Hundred
The Huckleberry Hundred is a mountain ultramarathon held in Spokane, WA on the slopes of Mt. Spokane State Park. The event uses a single 25-mile loop for all distances, running through technical singletrack, shaded inland rainforest sections, sweeping descents, and locations with views of the Selkirk Mountains.
Because the course is a loop, runners return to the main staging area (Race HQ) at the end of every lap. This allows a single crew pit area and easy access to drop bags. Each loop includes three additional aid stations stocked with water, Coke, Hummingbird Fuel, and sweet and salty snacks.
Distances:
- 100 Mile: 4 loops, 19,000 feet total elevation gain and loss
- 50 Mile: 2 loops, 9,500 feet total elevation gain and loss
- 25 Mile: 1 loop, 4,750 feet total elevation gain and loss
On-site amenities include porta potties and vault toilets, water and electrolytes, and food available at aid stations. Registered participants who sign up in time will receive a race t-shirt; every finisher receives a custom medal engraved on site. The 100-mile finish includes a custom gunmetal belt buckle. Pacers are allowed in the 100-mile race beginning at mile 50. The event occurs during peak huckleberry season and includes wild aid stations with foraged huckleberries. The area is active wildlife habitat and bears may be present. Registration caps are strictly enforced. Registration closes Mon, Jul 6 at 11:59 PM PT.
