The Homestretch 5K
The Homestretch 5K is the Bush School's second annual community event held at Magnuson Park in Seattle. The program includes a certified 5K course and a separate Kids 400 Meter Dash for children age 10 and under. The event is described as family and dog friendly.
Additional on-site elements listed for the event include music, participation medals, and a post-race picnic. A spirit wear contest will recognize participants wearing school colors and spirit apparel, with prizes awarded.
Registration is organized into multiple participant categories that reflect affiliation with the school. Categories mentioned include Bush students, current faculty and staff, Bush families and alumni, former faculty and staff, and a general public category. Separate registration options exist for the Kids 400 Meter Dash and the full 5K.
Team registration is supported and team names are made available during the registration process. Route and event information refer to a certified 3.1 mile course on the Magnuson Park site. The event materials reference community participation and an annual format. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
